THE ASK
How do you give a cultural experience
a fresh new face?
WHY MOGUMOGU?
I rebranded Nagomi Visit as MOGUMOGU after testing names that felt both playful and culturally authentic, ensuring accessibility for non-Japanese speakers. "Mogumogu," the playful Japanese sound for chewing, conveys warmth and friendliness.

LOGO CONCEPT
Building on the original logo, I refined its concept by incorporating a ribbon—a Japanese symbol of friendship—to create a sense of unity and warmth. It creates harmony without losing its significance in culture.

EVENT
MOGUMOGU's weekend service brings home-cooked Japanese food to suburbs via a specially equipped motorhome. Through hosting experiences in local neighborhood parks, the campaign generates visibility for the brand while building strong, experiential connections.

COLOR PALETTE
Inspired by Japanese cuisine, the palette blends tradition and modernity—Miso Glaze, Yuzu Honey, and Pickled Plum reflect inviting and authentic flavors, while Matcha Fresh and Ramune Blue add a refreshing, contemporary feel.

TYPOGRAPHY
Roca One, a serif font, conveys a strong sense of heritage, while the rounded Poppins softens the look in a more approachable way.
